Today, Assistant Professor Goran Mauša took part in the Stem for Human Species Survival section of the symposium COVID-19 Messages: On the Pandemic from Five Perspectives, with the presentation “Application of soft computing in peptide design” . This work is included in the DeShPet project funded by the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ) and the uCroTrap project founded by the University of Rijeka. A big thanks to the University of Rijeka for the invitation to participate in this nice event and for recognizing our interdisciplinary research.
Growing strong
After almost two years of deshpeting as master students, Erik Otović and Marko Njirjak became members of our computational branch of DeShPet team. Erik joined us through HRZZ Young Researchers’ Career Development Project and Marko as assistant at Faculty of Engineering.
Welcome guys and happy PhDing!
Welcome Patrizia
Patrizia Janković is our new DeShPet member who joined as PhD student at HRZZ instalation project Design of short catalytic peptides and peptide assemblies and we wish her a warm welcome, many successful experiments and happy PhDing.

μCroTrap presented at ICT-20 @ COVID-19
Daniela has presented our μCroTrap project proposal at the ICT-20 @ COVID-19 international online conference organized by Mipro. Check out the presentation here.
μCroTrap
Proud to be part of it! Submitted the proposal entitled SARS-CoV-2 supramolecular mimetics for discovery of peptides that induce viral entrapment (μCroTrap) to the Thematic HRZZ Call for Scientific Research Proposals (IP-CORONA-2020-04). Assembling such a nice team and inspiring idea in a short amount of time is a great achievement already!
No researcher, lab or country can find the solution to the coronavirus pandemic alone. This is why we want to help…
